Buying a Home in Florida from Out-of-State

Let’s face it, buying a home can be an overwhelming experience. The idea of buying a home out of state can be downright terrifying! But with a team of relocation specialists by your side, it doesn’t have to be!

Alice Cooper Team has helped literally hundreds of out-of-state families buy a home in the Greater Daytona Beach area; many of those purchases have been made completely sight unseen without ever stepping foot inside the house. Through the use of technology, superior communication, and our in-depth knowledge of the area, we not only make purchasing a home from out of the area possible- we make it smooth, simple, and stress free.

Here’s How We Help Out-of-State Buyers:

State-of-the-Art Website

We encourage you to browse around our website. We think you’ll agree our website is the simplest and most user-friendly real estate site available in our market. Upon Registering for our Website, you’ll have the ability to save properties, search by map and neighborhood, view price changes and open houses, and receive new listing notifications whenever new properties matching your search criteria hit the market.

Members of Multiple MLS’s

The Greater Daytona Beach area is somewhat unique in the fact that we have 4 different REALTOR Associations with 4 different Multiple Listing Services:

Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS
New Smyrna Beach Association of REALTORS
Flagler County Board of Realtors
West Volusia Board of Realtors

While most agents are only a member of one association, we’re a member of all four. What does this mean for you? It means, you’ll find ALL of the area’s available listings on our website, not just some. It also means that we have access to show you literally any home on the market in our area.

Video Walkthroughs & Virtual Showings

When you find a home you might be interested in pursuing, we’ll schedule a time to visit the property for you and do a live virtual showing with you via Facetime or Zoom. We’ll walk you through the property, open closets, look around corners, show you the ceiling and floors, give you close ups of interesting features- just like you were touring the property yourself. We can also send you videos of the home so you can reference the property again in the future.

Attend Inspections

One you have a home under contract, some buyers choose to come into town during the inspection period to see the home for themselves, but it’s certainly not necessary. We can schedule all home inspections for you and attend the inspection on your behalf. The inspector will provide you with a detailed report, usually 50+ pages, with photos and information on his findings. You can also talk to the inspector on the phone to ask questions and get additional clarification.

Remote Closing

In the state of Florida, real estate closings are performed by a title company. The title company completes title searches and issues title insurance guaranteeing there are no liens on the property and prepares all documents for the transfer of ownership. We will review final closing statements with you prior to your signing. The closing can then be performed remotely at your location with the use of mobile notaries. Once fully closed and funded, we can pick up the keys to your new home and keep them at our office until you’re ready for them.

And just like that, you own a home in the Sunshine State- it’s that simple! We encourage you to check out our reviews and also google us to see what others have to say about us.
