Oceanfront Home Sells For the First Time-in-a-Century
Flashback Friday to that time one year ago today that we closed on our oceanfront listing at 4043 S. Atlantic in Wilbur-by-the-Sea. This was a special house, loved by generations, and it was the FIRST time this beach house was offered on the open market in nearly a century. The Port Orange home sold for $770,200, and like the families who have owned it since quiet little Wilbur-by-the-Sea, Florida reigned supreme as the land/speed time trials capital of the world and giver of birth to today's vibrant NASCAR culture, the new owners of this gem are no doubt adding their own timeless memories to history!
Built in 1950, this 3 bedroom 2 bath home was a guesthouse for the 1906 Cape Cod-style house just to the south boundary line. Sometime, many years ago, the previous owners' father divided the land into two pieces with the intention of building a larger, more grandiose "statement house." This never came to be but the "beach cottage" as the previous owners called it, was rejuvenated and repaired in 2013.
The Alice Cooper Team held multiple open houses there, and we all enjoyed the 180-view of the Atlantic Ocean from the living room. Our latest oceanfront listing just went under contract, so if you'd like to be next in line to sell your oceanfront home, please call us today at 386-316-5966.
